April 27, 2020 by Talia Jeanlouis Who can I call for more information? If you are sick, think you’ve been exposed to COVID-19, or want to know if you should be tested, call your health care provider. Please call ahead before you go into a clinic, doctor’s office or emergency room. If you don’t have a health care provider, contact your local Public Health Center: dhss.alaska.gov/dph/Nursing/Pages/locations.aspx Alaska 2-1-1 is a great resource to answer your general questions about COVID-19 and to assist with other needs such as school closures, loss of jobs, and more. But please know that it is NOT a screening tool. For Alaskans who live in areas where 2-1-1 can’t be accessed, you can call 800-478-2221. You may also find answers to your questions on the DHSS website, coronavirus.alaska.gov, or on your official local websites. We know these are difficult and uncertain times. Please be patient and kind with everyone, including yourself.
